“SURVEYING, INVENTORY AND MONITORING OF ARCHITECTURE AND IMOVABLE HERITAGE.”
The program is encouraging multidisciplinary international collaboration, dealing with the issues of implementation and monitoring of projects of heritage protection within the local, regional, and European framework.

The program of the School is divided into three modules. The modules are focusing on a variety of architecture and monuments of Vojvodina – the adobe and rammed earth housing, the historical structures and World War 2 monuments.
MODULE 1 – HERITAGE INVENTORY AND MANAGEMENT: ARCHES PLATFORM
This module will begin on 19th of August and will last for three days. The aim of the workshop is to introduce Arches platform for cultural heritage inventory and management, with the setup and testing of the HIP application. The participants will collect data on site, discuss and develop data sheets, practice the entry into the platform and test the potential upgrades of the application.
Module tutor: mag. Bojan Kastelic, independent researcher
MODULE 2 – 3D SCANNING AND PHOTOGRAMMETRY
This module will begin on 23th of August and will last for two days. The module consists of theoretical part, which includes: Introduction of 3d-scanning using photogrammetry, explanation of the complete workflow from taking photos and processing to final analysis of meshes and creation of sections and floor plans. The practical part includes the following: taking the photos and measurements – explanation of technique and camera settings on a practical example, processing of photos – creation of 3d data (point clouds, triangular meshes and textures) using Agisoft Photoscan; scaling and alignment of 3d data using Cloud Compare; creating floorplans, sections and elevations using Rhino; practicing 3d scanning and 3d data processing on real-world examples with guidance.

MODULE 3 – DOCUMENTING AND ASSESSING MONUMENTS
This module will begin on 25th of August and will last for two days. The aim of the module is to assess condition, state and ‘values’ of monuments, and to allow the understanding of the variety of influences upon their conservation. The module will test a Handbook, developed to facilitate a unified recording system for monuments commemorating the People’s Liberation War. It aims to provide a unified methodology for providing descriptive information on a monument, and also for undertaking a brief Condition Assessment, important for establishing the condition of a monument, and in advocating for its (re-)valorization.
Module tutor: Andrew Lawler, Honorary Research Fellow, School of History, Welsh History & Archaeology, Bangor University, UK
Prior to Module 3, on 24th of August, a study trip to Neštin and Sremski front will be organized, for the purpose of introducing the variety of heritage sites in the vicinity of Bač.
A detailed certificate will be provided by the organizer for the purpose of obtaining ECTS credits.
We are inviting international participants: professionals and students of architecture, technology, civil engineering, sustainable building, building physics, architectural conservation and art history, as well as the enthusiasts.
